Lauren Melo, born on August 30, 1966, is an American businesswoman and politician who is currently serving as the Representative for District 82 in the Florida House of Representatives. She assumed office on November 8, 2022.
Melo was born and raised in Naples, Florida, and is a proud graduate of Barron G. Collier High School. In 1991, she established a small trucking company, which she successfully grew to a fleet of one hundred trucks. Since then, Melo has worked as a real estate broker in Naples.
In addition to her political career, Melo has served as a guardian ad litem. She is a conservative Republican who fights to protect our second amendment rights, honor our veterans, cut bureaucratic red tape, and grow the economy. She is the proud mom of three and has been active in our community for years.
Melo is currently a member of the Florida House of Representatives, representing District 82. She assumed her current office on November 8, 2022, and her term ends on November 5, 2024. She is running for re-election to the Florida House of Representatives to represent District 82, with the Republican primary scheduled on August 20, 2024.
