Biography

Representative Laurel Libby of Auburn is currently in her second term, representing House District 90, which includes the towns of Minot and part of Auburn. Within the 131st Legislature, she actively serves on the Joint Standing Committee on Taxation. Previously, Rep. Libby contributed her expertise to the Joint Standing Committee on Judiciary.

With a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, New York, Mrs. Libby has a background that includes working as an ICU nurse at Maine Medical Center in Portland and St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Lewiston. Additionally, she is the founder of Dawson Interiors, a company specializing in interior decorating and real estate staging.

Laurel and her husband, John, are parents to five children: Emily, Sophia, Jude, Dawson, and Ilse. In her leisure time, Mrs. Libby enjoys activities such as running, reading, and engaging in game nights with family and friends.
