Biography

Kristin Nelson serves as a Republican Representative for District 38 in the Alabama state legislature.

Nelson’s career experience includes working as a teacher. Nelson is a lifelong resident of Chambers County, where she was raised by her hard-working parents - Melvin and Donna Pike. Nelson is a worship leader at Fairfax Methodist Church, Secretary of the Junior Variety Club, President of the EAMC Lanier Auxiliary Board, founder of the Chambers County Young Republicans, and currently serves as Chairman of the Chambers County Republican Party. Nelson has been affiliated with Fairfax Methodist Church, the Junior Variety Club, EAMC Lanier Auxiliary Board, the Chambers County Young Republicans, and the Chambers County Republican Party. Nelson’s late father worked in the bluecollar industry, and her mother served the Chambers County Board of Education for 38-years - instilling in Kristin a deep respect for faith, family, education, and community service.
