Kim Wallan

Kim Wallan, a member of the Republican Party born in 1961, is an American politician hailing from Oregon. She currently serves in the Oregon House of Representatives, representing House District 6 located in Medford, Oregon. Wallan took office in 2019.

Biography

Kim Wallan has lived in Medford for 32 years. She grew up in Klamath Falls and attended Willamette University in Salem, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. She moved with her husband, Jim, to Medford after they completed law school at Willamette.

She pr​acticed law at a local firm until choosing to stay home to raise their three children. Kim has always been active in her community, serving as Family Connection president, Hoover Elementary School PTO treasurer, and South Medford Booster Club board member. She also co-chaired the Medford School District Boundary Committee.

Kim has been a 4-H leader for 18 years. She was elected to the Medford School Board and served from 2011 to 2015, and was elected to the ​Medford City Council in November of 2016. In the course of her tenure as a City Councilor, Kim served on the Boards of Directors of Southern Oregon Regional Economic Development (SOREDI), the Hospital Facilities Authority, Habitat for Humanity and the Rogue Valley Metropolitan Planning Organization. ​

She is grateful for the opportunity to represent the people of Medford in the Oregon Legislature.
