Biography

Kim Kendall is a dedicated public servant and a member of the Florida House of Representatives, representing District 18. Born in Arlington, Virginia, she moved to Florida in 1976 and has since made St. Augustine her home. Kim is married to Kelly Kendall from Mobile, Alabama.

Kim’s educational journey began at George Dewey High School, located at the Naval Station in Subic Bay, Philippines. She later attended Florida State University, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree between 1985 and 1989. Following her graduation, she pursued a career in air traffic control, completing her training at the FAA Air Traffic Control Academy in 1990.

Before her tenure in the Florida House of Representatives, Kim was actively involved in various public service roles. She hosted a radio talk show called “Making the Grade” on WFOY Radio, where she discussed educational issues and policies. Her commitment to education is further demonstrated by her involvement with the American Eagle & Literacy Challenge, where she served as the State Chair, and her role as the State Education Chair for the Florida Federation of Republican Women.

Kim has also been a member of several advisory boards and task forces, including the Florida Digital Learning Group and the Florida State College at Jacksonville Aviation Advisory Board. Her dedication to her community is evident through her work with the St. Augustine Navy League, where she served as Vice President of Public Relations, and her co-founding of the St. Johns County Middle School Athletic Association.

In addition to her public service, Kim has been an active member of the St. Johns County Republican Executive Committee and has held various leadership positions within the organization. Her commitment to her community and her passion for public service have made her a respected and influential figure in Florida politics.

Kim Kendall was elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 2024. Her legislative service has been marked by her dedication to improving education, supporting veterans, and promoting economic growth in her district.
