Biography

Kendon Underwood is a member of the Republican Party and currently serves in the Arkansas House of Representatives, representing District 16. He assumed office on January 9, 2023, and his current term is set to end on January 13, 2025. He is also running for re-election to continue representing District 16.

Underwood was born and raised in Arkansas. He earned a J.D. from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville in 2015. His career experience includes owning and founding Olive View Events and working as a senior assistant corporate counsel with J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. He has also worked as an associate attorney with Woodard Law Group and Slinkard Law Firm, P.A., and served as a judicial extern with the Nineteenth Judicial Circuit West, Division 6.

In terms of his legislative work, Underwood has been assigned to several committees. For the tenure of 2023-2024, he was assigned to the House Judiciary Committee, House State Agencies and Governmental Affairs Committee, and the Legislative Joint Auditing Committee. In the previous tenure of 2021-2022, he was assigned to the House City, County, and Local Affairs Committee and the House Judiciary Committee.

Underwood is set to run in the general election for Arkansas House of Representatives District 16 on November 5, 2024. He has always advocated for the rights of the unborn, lower taxes, limited government, and protecting constitutional rights.
