Ken Fontenot is a Republican member of the North Carolina House of Representatives, representing District 24. He assumed office on January 1, 2023. His current term ends on January 1, 2025.

Fontenot is running for re-election to the North Carolina House of Representatives to represent District 24. He is on the ballot in the general election on November 5, 2024. The Republican primary for this office on March 5, 2024, was canceled.

Ken Fontenot served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He earned a B.A. in history from California State University, San Marcos, in 2009, and an M.A. in public administration and social service professions from Ashford University in 2013. He also obtained a certificate of advanced graduate studies in organizational leadership from Northeastern University.

His career experience includes working as a social studies teacher and as pastor and CEO of the Door of Life Christian Church. He has been assigned to the following committees: Education - K-12 Committee, House Finance Committee, Health Committee, House Redistricting Committee, Military and Veterans Affairs Committee.

As of the 2020 Census, North Carolina state representatives represented an average of 87,116 residents. After the 2010 Census, each member represented 79,715 residents. North Carolina House of Representatives District 24 includes all of Wilson County, as well as part of Nash County.
