Kelly Hines is a Republican member of the Oklahoma State Senate, representing District 47. He assumed office on November 20, 2024, and his current term is set to end on November 22, 2028.

Before his political career, Kelly Hines had a distinguished military background. He served in the Oklahoma Army National Guard from 1985 to 1992 and later joined the U.S. Army, where he served from 1992 until his retirement in 2019, achieving the rank of colonel. His military service reflects his dedication to public service and leadership.

Hines pursued higher education with a focus on history and strategic studies. He earned a bachelor’s degree in history from East Central University, followed by a graduate degree in ancient and classical history from the American Public University System. Additionally, he obtained a graduate degree in strategic studies from the U.S. Army War College, further showcasing his commitment to understanding complex systems and leadership dynamics.

After retiring from the military, Hines transitioned into the private sector, where he worked as the Vice President of Domestic Operations at Aviation Training Consulting (ATC).
