Kasey Carpenter is a member of the Republican Party and represents District 3 in the Georgia House of Representatives. He assumed office on January 9, 2023, and his current term ends on January 13, 2025.

Born Edward Kasey Carpenter on May 4, 1994, he resides in Ringgold, Georgia. He is married to Roxanne Horner and they have two children. Before his political career, Horner was a businessperson and a manufacturing business owner, specializing as a budget specialist.

Horner ran for election to the Georgia House of Representatives to represent District 3 and won in the general election on November 8, 2022. There were no incumbents in this race, and he succeeded Dewayne Hill. In the Republican primary for the same district, Horner defeated Darrell Weldon Sr. on May 24, 2022.

In his role as a legislator, Horner has been assigned to several committees for the 2023-2024 term. These include the Budget and Fiscal Affairs Oversight Committee, where he serves as Secretary, the Intragovernmental Coordination Committee, and the Small Business Development Committee.

Horner’s victory in the general election was decisive, with him securing 100% of the votes, a total of 18,088 votes. In the Republican primary, he won with 54% of the votes, a total of 4,730 votes.
