Karen Montell is a member of the Democratic Party and represents District 54 in the Maine House of Representatives. She assumed office on December 7, 2022, and her current term ends on December 4, 2024.
Born and raised in Gardiner, Maine, Montell graduated from Gardiner Area High School and earned a modeling degree from Barbizon Modeling in 1989. Her career experience includes working as a small business owner and legislative staffer.
In the general election held on November 8, 2022, Montell ran for election to the Maine House of Representatives to represent District 54 and won. She is currently serving her first term in the Maine House of Representatives and is a member of the Joint Standing Committee on Veterans and Legal Affairs.
