Karen Krebsbach, born in 1940, is an American politician and a prominent member of the Republican Party. She has been serving as a State Senator from the 40th District of North Dakota since 1988.
She is the President of Krebsbach Realty Co., Inc. and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Minot State University. Her professional experience includes working as vice president of Krebsbach Realty Company, Incorporated.
Throughout her political career, she has held various positions and has been a part of several committees. She served as the President Pro Tempore in 2001. She has been a Senate Portfolio Leader for Minot State University and has been a part of the North Dakota Legislative Council State Capitol.
In terms of committee assignments, she has been a Vice Chair of the Senate Appropriations Committee and the Appropriations - Education and Environment Committee. She has also been a part of the Higher Education Grant Review Committee.
She has been elected multiple times, with her last election taking place on November 3, 2020. Her current term is set to end on December 1, 2024. However, in January 2024, she announced that she would not seek re-election to the North Dakota State Senate District 40.
Beyond her political and professional life, she is a Christian of the Lutheran denomination. She is a mother to two children and a grandmother to four grandchildren.
