Justin Fornstrom is a Republican member of the Wyoming House of Representatives, representing District 10. Fornstrom entered the House by appointment rather than election: after Representative John Eklund died in November 2025, the Laramie County Republican Party nominated three candidates for the vacancy, and the Laramie County Board of Commissioners selected Fornstrom on December 6, 2025. Fornstrom was sworn in on December 16, 2025. Fornstrom was unopposed in the August 2026 Republican primary and is seeking a full term in the November 2026 general election.1
House District 10 covers central and southeastern Laramie County, including the towns of Pine Bluffs, Albin and Burns. Fornstrom graduated from high school in 1990 and earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wyoming in 1995. Soon after college, Fornstrom started a farming operation with family members and works as a farmer and rancher. Fornstrom served about 16 years on the Laramie County Fire Board, most of that time as its president, and was elected mayor of Pine Bluffs in 2021.
Speaker Chip Neiman assigned Fornstrom to the Joint Agriculture, State and Public Lands and Water Resources Committee and to the Select Water Committee. Fornstrom’s campaign for a full term has focused on agriculture, water and taxation. During the 2026 legislative session, Fornstrom was among a group of House members who pushed to restore funding for the University of Wyoming and the Wyoming Business Council.
