Joshua J. Stonko, born in 1992 or 1993, is an American politician who is currently a member of the Maryland House of Delegates for District 42C in Carroll County, Maryland. He was previously a candidate for District 5 of the Maryland House of Delegates in 2014 and 2015.
Stonko grew up in North Carroll where he attended Manchester Elementary, North Carroll Middle, North Carroll High, and Manchester Valley. He has a bachelor’s in economics from the University of Maryland, College Park. After graduating, he worked for PNC Bank from 2015 to 2022, and for JPMorgan Chase since 2022.
Stonko was sworn into the Maryland House of Delegates on January 11, 2023. He is a member of the House Appropriations Committee. In terms of electoral history, Stonko ran in the District 42c election for the Maryland House of Delegates. In the Maryland House of Delegates District 5 Republican primary election in 2014, he received 5,813 votes, securing 13.8% of the total votes. In the Maryland House of Delegates District 42C Republican primary election in 2022, he received 3,612 votes, securing 68.4% of the total votes. In the Maryland House of Delegates District 42C election in 2022, he received 14,242 votes, securing 97.61% of the total votes.
