Josh Branscum Gordon

Josh Branscum Gordon, born on June 13, 1982, is an American politician who is currently serving as a member of the Kentucky House of Representatives from the 83rd district. He was elected in November 2020 and assumed office on January 1, 2021.

Early Life and Education

Josh was born and raised in Russell Springs, Kentucky. He pursued his higher education at Georgetown College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Communication. He furthered his education at Eastern Kentucky University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management.

Career

Before his political career, Josh served as the Executive Vice President of Branscum Construction Company, Inc. His role involved overseeing new construction projects across the Commonwealth.

Political Career

Josh’s political journey began with his election to the Kentucky House of Representatives in November 2020. He assumed office on January 1, 2021. In February 2021, he became the lead sponsor of an election security bill.
