Jordan L. Kannianen is a distinguished member of the North Dakota State Senate, representing District 4. He assumed office on December 1, 2016, and his current term extends until December 1, 2024.

Born in August 1983, Senator Kannianen has made significant contributions to his community and the state of North Dakota. He is not only a politician but also an Electrical Contractor and the owner of Stanley Lumber & Supply. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science (BS) and Master of Science (MS) in Management from Minot State University (MSU), and a BS in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University (ASU).

In addition to his political and professional roles, Senator Kannianen is actively involved in his local community. He serves as a Supervisor on the Sikes Township Board and is the President of the Belden Finnish Cemetery Association. He is also a High Counselor in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Senator Kannianen is married to Elizabeth, and they are blessed with eleven children. They currently reside in Belden, North Dakota.

During his tenure in the Senate, Senator Kannianen has sponsored numerous bills and has been a part of various committees. He has been particularly active in the Energy and Natural Resources Committee and the Taxation Committee, where he served as the Chairman during the interim.
