Jonathan Pinson is a dedicated public servant and community leader. He wears multiple hats, serving both as a legislator and as a pastor. His journey has been shaped by education, faith, and a commitment to making a positive impact.

Jonathan’s educational path led him to the West Virginia State Police Academy, where he honed his skills and commitment to service. He holds both an Associate’s Degree and a Bachelor’s Degree from WVU-P (West Virginia University at Parkersburg).

Beyond his legislative duties, Jonathan has served as a police officer with the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department. However, it’s his role as a pastor that truly ignites his passion. As a Baptist, he finds purpose in guiding his congregation and fostering community connections.

In 2020, Jonathan Pinson was elected to the West Virginia House of Delegates, representing the 17th district. His diverse experiences—whether in the halls of the State Capitol or within the walls of his church—inform his approach to policymaking.
