Biography Jon Ray Lancaster is an American politician currently serving in the Mississippi House of Representatives. He was born in Amory, Mississippi and graduated from Houston High School.

Political Career In 2019, Jon Lancaster was elected to represent Mississippi’s 22nd House district as a Democrat in the Mississippi House of Representatives for the 2020–2024 term. He was inaugurated on January 7, 2020.

Party Switch In November 2021, Jon Lancaster made a significant decision in his political career. As a conservative and a Christian, he felt that his views and beliefs were no longer shared and supported by the Democratic Party. Therefore, he decided to switch from the Democratic Party to the Republican Party. He expressed his excitement to work with Republican leaders across the state and Northeast Mississippi to grow the state’s economy and improve Mississippians’ quality of life.

Re-election Lancaster ran for re-election to the Mississippi House of Representatives to represent District 22. He won in the general election held on November 7, 2023. His current term ends on January 4, 2028.
