Biography

John Swanwick (1760 – August 1, 1798) was an American merchant, poet and politician. He served in the Pennsylvania General Assembly and from 1795 to 1798, and served as the United States representative from Pennsylvania in the 4th and 5th congresses.

As a member of the Republican Party representing Pennsylvania, John Swanwick contributed to the legislative process during 2 terms in office.
