John W. Hines, Sr. is a distinguished member of the Mississippi House of Representatives, representing District 50. He is a member of the Democratic Party and has been serving in office since 2001. His current term is set to end on January 4, 2028.

Born on April 6, 1966, in Greenville, Mississippi, Hines has dedicated his life to public service. Apart from his political career, he has professional experience as an insurance agent and investigator for McTeer Associates.

Throughout his tenure, Hines has been assigned to various committees. In the 2023-2024 legislative session, he served on the following committees:
