Representative John Hewkin is a dedicated public servant and a proud member of the Missouri House of Representatives, representing District 120. A Republican, he was elected to his first term in November 2024. His district includes Dent and Crawford Counties, where he has deep roots and a strong connection to the community.

Born in Salina, Kansas, John Hewkin grew up in a family that valued hard work and service. He attended Crawford County R-II schools and graduated in 1979. His passion for healthcare led him to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, which he earned from the St. Louis College of Pharmacy in 1985. Over the years, he has built an impressive career as a pharmacist, serving his community with dedication and care for nearly four decades.

John Hewkin is well-known for his entrepreneurial spirit. He owned and operated Towne Pharmacy in Cuba, Missouri, for many years, providing personalized care and building lasting relationships with his customers. Currently, he works in the pharmacy at BJC Sullivan Hospital, where he continues to make a positive impact on the lives of patients and colleagues alike. His contributions to the field of pharmacy have been recognized with prestigious awards, including the King of Courtesy and Outstanding Young Pharmacist awards from the Missouri Pharmacy Association in 1995 and 1996, respectively.

Beyond his professional achievements, Representative Hewkin is deeply committed to his faith and community. He is an active member of Temple Baptist Church and serves on the board of FCNB Bank. Additionally, he is a board member of the Lifeline Pregnancy Care Center, where he works to support families and promote life-affirming choices.

Family is at the heart of John Hewkin’s life. He and his wife, Patricia “Lynne,” reside in Cuba, Missouri, where they have raised their four children: Stephanie, Michelle, Shannon, and Ryan. They are also proud grandparents to 19 grandchildren, who bring joy and inspiration to their lives.

As a legislator, Representative Hewkin is committed to serving the people of his district with integrity and dedication. His background in healthcare and his deep ties to the community provide him with a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing Missouri.
