Biography

John D. Fuller is an American educator and politician in Montana. He is a member of the Republican Party and currently represents District 4 in the Montana State Senate. He assumed office on January 2, 2023, and his current term ends on January 4, 2027.

Fuller served in the United States Army from 1967 until 1971, obtaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. After his military service, he became a high school teacher at Wheaton Central High School in Wheaton, Illinois in 1972. He also served as a wrestling head coach at the same school.

In 1996, Fuller moved to Montana and continued his teaching career at Flathead High School in Kalispell until 2009. He served as a member of the Montana State Board of Public Education from 2001 to 2008.

Before his tenure in the State Senate, Fuller was a member of the Montana House of Representatives for District 8 from 2019 to 2022. He won the election for the State Senate on November 8, 2022.

Fuller earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northern Illinois University and a Master of Science degree in Education from National Louis University. He lives in Montana with his wife, Cynthia Fuller, and they have one son.
