Joe Dalia is a member of the Democratic Party serving in the Nevada State Assembly, representing District 29. He assumed office on November 6, 2024, and his current term is set to end on November 4, 2026.
Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Joe Dalia has always been driven by a passion for public service and community engagement. He graduated from Coronado High School and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Economics from Boston University in 2013, graduating magna cum laude. He further pursued his education at the University of Michigan Law School, where he earned his Juris Doctor degree, also magna cum laude, in 2017. His academic journey reflects his dedication to understanding the intricacies of law, governance, and economic systems.
Before entering politics, Dalia built a successful career as an attorney, where he gained valuable experience advocating for justice and fairness. His professional background has equipped him with the skills to navigate complex legislative issues and craft policies that address the needs of his constituents. In addition to his legal career, he has been recognized for his pro bono work, receiving the Legal Aid of Southern Nevada Pro Bono Service Award in 2023.
As a legislator, Dalia is committed to addressing key issues such as education, healthcare, and economic development. He serves on several important committees, including Education, Health and Human Services, and Judiciary. His legislative initiatives reflect his dedication to improving the quality of life for the residents of District 29 and the broader Nevada community.
