Biography

Representative Jessie Rodriguez was first elected to the Wisconsin State Assembly during a Special Election in November 2013. She currently resides in Oak Creek with her husband, Aaron, and son, Noah. Jessie is serving her sixth term in the Wisconsin Legislature and her second biennium on the Joint Committee on Finance. Born in Puerto El Triunfo, El Salvador in 1977, she moved to Massachusetts with her family during a civil war in 1985 and eventually settled in Milwaukee in the early 1990s. She is a graduate of Hamilton High School and holds a B.A. in communication studies and Spanish from Marquette University. As a legislator, Jessie combines her community insights with her knowledge of the Parental Choice Program to advocate for innovative education reforms and quality education for all students.
