Biography

Jeffrey Mursau, born on June 12, 1954, is a Wisconsin politician, legislator, and business owner. Originally from Oconto Falls, Wisconsin, Mursau has made significant contributions to both his community and the state.

Before serving in the Wisconsin State Assembly, Jeffrey Mursau held the position of Crivitz Village President from 1991 to 2004. He graduated from Coleman High School in 1972 and later attended the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.

As a co-owner of J&T Electric in Crivitz, Mursau has been actively involved in the business world. Additionally, he was the former owner of Bakers’s Kitchen restaurant. His commitment to public service extends beyond business, as he has been a dedicated member of various organizations, including the Crivitz Ski Cats, Crivitz Lions Club, and the Wisconsin-Crivitz, Germany Sister City Organization.

In the Wisconsin State Assembly, Jeffrey Mursau has been serving since 2005. Notably, he chairs the Assembly Committee on Forestry, Parks, and Outdoor Recreation, as well as the Special Committee on State-Tribal Relations. His passion for forestry and outdoor recreation shines through in his legislative work.

Mursau and his wife, Nancy, reside in rural Crivitz, where they raised their four children—Chris, Tim, Nick, and Mitchel. They are also proud grandparents to eleven wonderful grandchildren.
