Biography

Jeff Stenquist, a member of the Republican Party, is currently serving in the Utah House of Representatives, representing District 46. He assumed office on January 1, 2023, and his current term ends on January 1, 2025. Prior to this, he served in the Utah House of Representatives District 51.

Jeff Stenquist was born in Tremonton, Utah. He earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah in 1996. His professional experience includes working as a software engineer, software architect, and software engineering leader. As of 2020, he led a software engineering organization for a large insurance company. He also served as a middle and high school mountain biking (NICA) coach.

In addition to his professional career, Stenquist has been active in local government. He served on the Draper City Council from 2005 to 2017. During his tenure in the Utah House of Representatives, Stenquist has been assigned to several committees. In 2023-2024, he served as the Chair of the House Economic Development and Workforce Services Committee and the House Education Committee. He was also a member of the Transportation Committee.

In the 2022 general election, Stenquist ran for re-election to the Utah House of Representatives to represent District 46. He won the election on November 8, 2022, defeating Ladd Johnson.
