Biography

Representative Jeff Farnan, a Republican, represents Atchison, Gentry, Holt and Nodaway counties (District 1) in the Missouri House of Representatives. He was elected to his first two-year term in November 2022.

In addition to his service in the legislature, Farnan is a cattle farmer. Previously he worked as an optician for 35 years. Farnan also has served as a member and president of the Jefferson C-123 School Board.

Farnan is a graduate of South Nodaway High School.

Born and raised in Nodaway County, Farnan now resides near the Conception Abbey with his wife, Joan. They have five sons, two daughters-in-law, and three grandsons.
