Jay Fisher is an American politician and agronomist who is currently serving as a member of the North Dakota House of Representatives from the 5th district. He was elected in November 2018 and assumed office on December 1, 2018.

Fisher is a native of Minot, North Dakota. He earned a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in agronomy and crop science from North Dakota State University. His academic background laid the foundation for his career in agronomy.

From 1994 to 2015, Fisher served as the director of the North Central Research Extension Center at North Dakota State University. His work in this role contributed significantly to the field of agronomy and the agricultural community in North Dakota.

Since 2016, Fisher has worked as an agronomist for Fisher Research LLC. His work involves conducting research and providing solutions in the field of agronomy.

In addition to his professional career, Fisher is also involved in his local community. He is a member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church.

On a personal note, Fisher is married to Marlys and they have four children and nine grandchildren. His family is a source of support and motivation for him.
