Jay graduated from Algonac High School in 1988 and attended St. Clair Community College from 1989 to 1990.

Before assuming office, Jay dedicated 11 years to public service as the clerk and register of deeds for St. Clair County. Additionally, he served as a trustee and supervisor for Clay Township. With a history of entrepreneurship, Jay has owned a small business in the area since 1994, specializing in engineered lumber. He recognizes the significance of these businesses as essential contributors to the strength of both state and local economies.

Personal Life

Beyond his professional commitments, Jay is set to be married this summer and is the proud parent of two children. An enthusiast of outdoor activities, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and boating in his free time.
