James W. Edming, born on November 22, 1945, in Ladysmith, Wisconsin, is an American businessman and Republican politician. He has been serving as a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly since 2015, representing the 87th Assembly district. Edming’s journey began at Flambeau High School, and he later pursued higher education at UW-Superior and Taylor County Teachers College. Beyond his formal education, he ventured into entrepreneurship, successfully owning several small businesses. His commitment extends beyond politics; he has actively participated in various community roles, including serving on the Rusk County Board and the Rusk Co. Hospital Board. When not engaged in public service, Representative Edming enjoys spending time with his wife and their three children.
