Biography

James Franklin Aldrich (born April 6, 1853) was a Republican member of the United States House of Representatives from Illinois. He represented Illinois’s 1st Congressional District and served as a historical member of Congress during the late nineteenth century.

Aldrich held the office of Representative from August 7, 1893, to March 3, 1897, completing two terms in the U.S. House. During this period, he served as a Republican legislator for his district and was part of the federal lawmaking body at a time of significant political and economic change in the United States. His service concluded in 1897, and he is recorded as a former member of Congress from Illinois.
