Rep. Jack Fortner is serving his fourth full term in the Arkansas House. He represents District 4 which includes portions of Marion and Baxter counties.
For the 94th General Assembly, Rep. Fortner serves as the Chair of the House Agriculture, Forestry and Economic Development Committee. He also serves on the House Revenue and Taxation Committee and the Arkansas Legislative Council.
He is a veteran of the United States Navy and served during the Vietnam War. He is an alumnus of the University of Nevada.
Rep. Fortner is a small business owner and cattleman.
Rep. Fortner previously served as a Justice of the Peace for Marion County. He also served as a member of the Marion County Regional Airport Board and the Planning Commission
Rep. Fortner is a member of the American Legion and the Arkansas Cattlemen’s Association.
He has taught Sunday School classes for the last 25 years.
