Biography

Hillary was born and raised on a family farm in Richmond County, where her childhood was spent digging potatoes, stacking hay, and fishing for croaker. At an early age, she was taught by her family the importance of faith, service, and hard work. Her passion and dedication to community service began in elementary school and has continued throughout her life. After graduating from Randolph Macon College and earning a Master’s Degree from VCU, she returned home to begin her career with her family’s beverage distributor, Al Pugh Distributing, where she now serves as company Vice President. Hillary and her husband, Ryan, attend Cobham Park Baptist Church in Warsaw and live on a farm with their boys.

Hillary’s volunteer service has encompassed GED instruction to the incarcerated to initiating the Warsaw revitalization program. She volunteers and has served on several local non-profit organizations including Warsaw Richmond County Main Street Program, Northern Neck Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Board member, Lewis-Ledwith Free Health Clinic Board member, YMCA Board member, Town of Warsaw Economic Development Management Committee, and Rappahannock River 4th of July Celebration Co-Chairman. She participated in Lead Northern Neck and is a member of the Northern Neck VFW Auxiliary 7167. She received the Outstanding Community Service Award from the VFW.
