Biography

Rep. Harlan Breaux is serving his third term in the Arkansas House. He represents District 6 which includes portions of Carroll and Boone counties. He has been serving as the Representative from District 6 since his election in 2018. Before his current term, he represented District 97.

For the 94th General Assembly, Rep. Breaux serves on the House Public Transportation Committee and the House Agriculture, Forestry and Economic Development Committee. Rep. Breaux also serves on the Legislative Joint Auditing Committee.

Rep. Breaux was raised in Louisiana. He was born on July 6, 1947, in the town of Cheneyville, Louisiana, to Nelson Lee Breaux and Evelyn Emma Lacaze. He previously served in the U.S. Navy and is now retired. Before entering politics, he sold insurance and worked for an aluminum company in Lake Charles. He became motivated to enter politics after hearing his local preacher talk about how Christian people really need to step up to the plate and get involved in politics.

Rep. Breaux lives with his wife Roxanne and has one daughter. They reside in Holiday Island, Arkansas. He is a member of the Republican Party.
