Biography

Greg Goode is a member of the Republican Party and serves as the State Senator for District 38 in Indiana. He was elected in 2023 and his current term ends on November 4, 2026. He succeeded Jon Ford, also a member of the Republican Party.

Goode has a rich educational background. He studied Political Science and History at Indiana State University and pursued Graduate Studies at the Pentagon through the Catholic University of America. He is also a doctoral student at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

Before his political career, Goode worked for more than a decade as the chief lobbyist for Indiana State University. He also served as the State Director for U.S. Senator Todd Young.

In his role as State Senator, Goode has been appointed to serve on the Senate Committees on Environmental Affairs and Public Policy during the 2024 legislative session of the Indiana General Assembly. He is also involved in the Wabash River Regional Development Authority (WRRDA) READI Grant Program implementation.

Goode has been recognized for his service and contributions. He is a recipient of the President’s (ISU) Medallion, the ISU Jones Award, the Indiana Principal Leadership Award for Service, and the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce Building Community Award.

He serves Vigo and Clay counties, as well as a portion of Sullivan County.
