Biography

Greg Burtt grew up in Cabot, Vermont, attending Cabot School from kindergarten, and graduating valedictorian in 2003. He attended the University of Vermont and received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and the Student Engineer of the Year award in 2008. He moved back to the home farm with his wife, Stef, shortly after college where he and Stef began the family apple orchard. Along with Burtt’s Apple Orchard, the 30,000 tap maple sugaring operation was transferred to Greg and Stef from Keith and Johnnye, Greg’s parents. Greg has four daughters who work the farm as well with high hopes that they will take over some day. Greg serves as chair of the Cabot Community Investment Fund and is an elder and treasurer at New Journey Fellowship.1
