Gil Gatch (born June 18, 1981) is an American attorney, politician, and former pastor. He assumed office as a representative in the South Carolina House of Representatives on November 9, 2020, succeeding Con Chellis.

Early Life and Education:

  • Gatch hails from Summerville, South Carolina, where he spent his formative years.
  • He graduated from Summerville High School, where he also played football.
  • His academic journey led him to the Southern Evangelical Seminary, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree.
  • Later, he pursued a Juris Doctor from the Georgetown University Law Center.

  • Before entering politics, Gatch spent seven years as a pastor.
