Biography

Representative Shimizu has resided in District 32 ever since the third grade. After attending Moanalua Elementary, Intermediate and High Schools, he graduated from the University of Hawaii with a Mechanical Engineering degree. He eventually became a successful business owner of a sheet metal company.

Once retired, Representative Shimizu dedicated much of his time serving our community. He participates in a variety of service projects and events. In addition, he attends monthly Board and Association meetings, is a current Neighborhood Security Watch (NSW) Captain, and serves on the Moanalua Valley Community Association (MVCA) as a Board Member.

Representative Shimizu will serve on the Judiciary, Hawaiian Affairs, Water and Land, and Public Safety Committees in the 2025 Legislative Session.
