Fred Gardner is a member of the Republican Party and represents District 9 in the Kansas House of Representatives. He assumed office on January 9, 2023, and his current term ends on January 13, 2025.

Before his political career, Fred Gardner was a semi-retired veterinarian from Garnett. He also has experience in owning a business and working as a farmer/rancher. His career has been marked by his concern for regulations, business, and taxes, particularly regarding agriculture and rural communities.

In the general election held on November 8, 2022, Fred Gardner ran for election to the Kansas House of Representatives to represent District 9 and won. This victory marked the beginning of his tenure in the House of Representatives.

During his time in office, Fred Gardner has been assigned to several committees.
