Biography

Fred Doucette is an American politician who serves as a Republican member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives. He represents Rockingham County District 8, which includes the town of Salem, New Hampshire.

In 2020, Doucette was appointed a deputy Republican leader. He has been a significant figure in several political campaigns. Notably, he was the New Hampshire campaign co-chair for Donald Trump’s 2016 and 2020 presidential campaigns.

In April 2023, Doucette took on the role of a senior advisor and state campaign co-chair for Vivek Ramaswamy’s 2024 presidential campaign. At the time, he was serving as the deputy majority leader in the state House of Representatives.

Before his current term, Doucette was a former Republican member of the New Hampshire House of Representatives, representing Rockingham 8 from 2015 to 2017. He resigned his seat after being appointed executive director of the federal Farm Service Agency for Massachusetts.

Fred Doucette lives in Salem, New Hampshire. He graduated from Greater Lawrence Regional Vocational Technical High School and served in the U.S. Navy. Doucette has been affiliated with the NH Veterans’ Association and the Knights of Columbus.

Over the years, Doucette has been assigned to several committees. In the 2023-2024 term, he was assigned to the House Ways and Means Committee. In the 2019-2020 term, he was also assigned to the House Ways and Means Committee. At the beginning of the 2017 legislative session, he served on the Labor, Industrial and Rehabilitative Services committee. Similarly, at the beginning of the 2015 legislative session, Doucette served on the Labor, Industrial and Rehabilitative Services committee.
