Biography

Floyd James Fithian (born November 3, 1928) was a Democratic member of the United States House of Representatives from Indiana. He represented Indiana’s 2nd Congressional District, serving four terms in Congress. His tenure in the U.S. House began on January 14, 1975, and concluded on January 3, 1983.

During this period, Fithian served as a representative in the federal legislature, participating in the work of the House on behalf of his constituents in Indiana’s 2nd District. Identified in congressional records by the bioguide ID F000161, he was part of the Democratic Party’s delegation from Indiana in the post-Watergate era.
