Biography:

State Rep. Ethan Lawson of Greenfield was first elected in 2024 to serve Indiana House District 53, representing parts of Hancock and Madison counties.

A lifelong Hoosier, Lawson learned the value of service to others, hard work, and entrepreneurship while cutting grass, growing and selling crops at local farmer’s markets and learning a trade in a small town manufacturing business. Lawson worked to pay his way through college at Western Governors University, earning a bachelors degree in business and a masters degree in business administration. Additionally, Lawson graduated from the Indiana Leadership Forum.

Committed to public service, Lawson has worked for the Indiana National Guard and currently volunteers as the vice chair of the Hancock County Republican Party.

Lawson and his wife Holly are active in serving the community and are members at Otterbein Methodist Church.
