Emily Marie Jordan (née Brewer) was born on May 27, 1984, in Wyandot County, Ohio. She is an American small business owner and a member of the Virginia Senate. Prior to her current role, she served as a member of the Virginia House of Delegates, representing the 64th District.

Emily’s professional experience includes training first responders and owning a wine shop and restaurant. She is a Baptist and an active member of the Windsor Ruritians. In 2018, she began her legislative career as a member of the House, and in 2024, she transitioned to the Senate, representing District 17.

District 17 encompasses all of Brunswick County, Greensville County, Isle of Wight County, Southampton County, Emporia City, Franklin City, and Suffolk City. Additionally, parts of Dinwiddie County and Portsmouth City fall within her district.

Emily Jordan is committed to serving her constituents and advocating for their needs. Her background in small business and community involvement informs her work in the Senate, where she focuses on legislation related to courts, general laws, technology, rehabilitation, and social services.
