Biography

Edward Waszazak, D-Barre City, has lived in Barre, Vermont, since 2017. In 2019, he was elected as the youngest person to ever serve on the Barre City Council, representing Ward 2 from 2019–2024. Upon his election in 2024, Teddy became the youngest person elected to represent Barre City in the State House. Born on the North Shore of Boston, he lived for most of his life in greater Boston. He attended Salem State University as a Theatre major, moving to Vermont and getting involved in politics in 2017. Teddy has worked on local, statewide, Congressional, and national campaigns around New England. This includes work as the VT State Director for Senator Elizabeth Warren’s presidential campaign in 2020, and Congressman Chris Pappas’ reelection to New Hampshire’s 1st Congressional District in 2022. Teddy works in communications at Hunger Free Vermont and serves on the Aldrich Library Board of Trustees.
