Edward Butcher, also known as Ed, is a member of the Republican Party and represents District 29 in the Montana House of Representatives. He assumed office on January 14, 2023, and his current term ends on January 6, 2025. He was appointed to the state House by Fergus and Petroleum County Commissioners on January 14, 2023, to replace Doug Flament (R).

Before this, Edward Butcher had served as a Republican member of the Montana House of Representatives, representing the 29th District from 2004 to 2011. He lives in Lewistown, Montana. He earned a degree from Eastern Montana College in 1965 and a graduate degree from the University of Montana in 1967. His career experience includes working as a rancher.
