Biography

Douglas Trottier resides in Belmont, New Hampshire, with his wife and five children. He served his first term as a New Hampshire State Legislator from 2020 to 2022, where he was a member of the Judiciary Committee. With over 30 years of experience as a Police Officer in various roles, Douglas has also volunteered as a firefighter/EMT with the Belmont Fire Department for several years.

Douglas earned his associate degree in criminal justice from Eastern Gateway Community College in Ohio and is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and administration at Southern New Hampshire University, with the goal of attending law school.

In his free time, Douglas enjoys camping with his family, fishing in New Hampshire’s waterways, and hunting in the northern woods of the state.

Douglas looks forward to running for a position on his community’s board of selectmen.
