Douglas Thomas is an American politician who serves as a Republican member for the Rockingham 16th district of the New Hampshire House of Representatives. He currently serves as vice chair of the Science, Technology and Energy Committee.
Douglas Thomas was born in Orford, New Hampshire. He graduated from Hanover High School in 1968. He received a Bachelor of Science in Plastics Technology from Lowell Technological Institute (UMass Lowell) in 1972 and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Montana in 1984. Thomas resides in Londonderry, New Hampshire.
Thomas was first elected to the New Hampshire House of Representatives in 2014. He has been serving in the office since then. His current term ends on December 4, 2024. Thomas ran for re-election to the New Hampshire House of Representatives to represent Rockingham 16 and won in the general election on November 8, 2022.
In addition to his political career, Thomas has also served in the U.S. Air Force. His career experience includes working as an acquisition logistician at ASEC, in program support for Mantech International Systems.
Throughout his legislative tenure, Thomas has been assigned to various committees. He has served as the Vice Chair of the Science, Technology and Energy Committee. He has also served on the Legislative Administration committee.
