Biography

Representative Doug Mann, a Democrat, represents part of Boone County (District 50) in the Missouri House of Representatives. He was elected to his first two-year term in November 2022.

In addition to serving in the legislature, Mann is a civil rights attorney. He previously worked as a high school teacher for six years.

Mann is active in the community and has volunteered with Planned Parenthood, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and other local non-profits.

He obtained his BA, MS, and MEd from Niagara University and the University of Illinois Chicago. Mann moved to Missouri to attend the University of Missouri School of Law where he obtained his JD.

Born in New York, Mann now resides in Columbia with his wife. He and his wife attend Unitarian Universalist Church of Columbia.
