Biography

Representative Donnie Brown, a Republican, represents Mississippi, New Madrid, and Pemiscot Counties (District 149) in the Missouri House of Representatives. He was elected to his first two-year term in November 2022.

In addition to his legislative duties, Brown is an engineer working for New Madrid County, where he supervises the county’s road and bridge department. Prior to his election to the House, Brown served as the Mayor of the City of New Madrid for 12 years.

A 1989 graduate of New Madrid Central, Brown received his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Missouri S&T in 1994, where he is also enshrined in the university’s Athletic Hall of Fame.

Born in Sikeston, Brown currently resides in New Madrid with his wife. They have a son. Brown and his family attend the New Madrid Church of Christ, where he volunteers as an elder.
