Dexter Sharper, born on July 9, 1971, is a member of the Democratic Party and has been serving in the Georgia House of Representatives from the 177th district since January 14, 2013. His current term is set to end on January 13, 2025.

Sharper is a lifelong resident of Valdosta, GA, where he formerly served as Mayor-Pro Tem and City Councilman. His professional experience includes working as a business consultant and entrepreneur. He is the founder of Sharper Bounce Houses & More, and Dexter Sharper Fresheners. Sharper has also been a Georgia Certified paramedic for 20 years. Additionally, he has worked as an executive music producer, musician, and recording artist.

In terms of his political career, Sharper ran for re-election to the Georgia House of Representatives to represent District 177 and won in the general election on November 8, 2022.
