Biography

Deborah Aylward is a member of the Republican Party and currently serves in the New Hampshire House of Representatives, representing Merrimack 5. She assumed office on December 7, 2022, and her current term ends on December 4, 2024.

Before her political career, Aylward was a private investigator and owner of a detective agency. She was a nationally recognized leader in the private security community and was legislatively active on behalf of the private security community for 20 years. She championed two bills that were passed into law in Virginia.

In her election to the New Hampshire House of Representatives, Aylward ran for the Merrimack 5 seat. She won in the general election on November 8, 2022. During her tenure, she has been assigned to the Municipal and County Government Committee.

Aylward is known for her extensive volunteerism. She has served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate for abused and neglected children and founded a 501(c)(3) organization that provides pro bono investigative assistance to parents of missing children.

She represents the citizens of the towns of Andover, Danbury, Hill, Salisbury, and Webster. As part of her local government involvement, she regularly attends board and committee meetings and public hearings.
